Course Format

Each session is one and an half hours long. The sessions include a combination of teaching, Kabbalistic meditations, practical transformation practices, textual study, and Q&A.

Free will is the central characteristic that defines a human being. It is by exercising our free will that we evolve and grow. Our understanding of free will and the parameters of its functioning take on a different complexion at each stage of our spiritual evolution.

Session Two: Death and the Afterlife

This session delves into the Jewish understanding of the afterlife, and the dynamics of our reincarnation into our next earth life.

Session Four: This World is a Wedding

The Talmud Eruvin 54a teaches us that this world is like a wedding. Many exciting things happen at a wedding, but the central purpose is for two souls to become united as one. In this session, we will explore three different paradigms for life in this world: This world is a wedding. Life is a school. This plane of existence is a prozdor, an antechamber leading into the higher realms.

Rabbi Yoel Glick, the director of Daat Elyon, is a teacher of Jewish mysticism, one of the pioneers of modern Jewish meditation, and a spiritual mentor who has been guiding seekers on the path for over thirty years.
